Official lyric video for the new single release “Love Will Heal” by OH.

“Love Will Heal” is a love song to Self. Its essence though is a reminder that we all “know what love is” and it isn’t a matter of having faith, but knowing it within oneself first and then experiencing it with others. – OH.

THE STORY

Love WIll Heal - OH.A short time after the release of the album, “Synemotion”. I went to the studio and laid down the instrumentals to a new song idea.

A close friend overheard it. Walked in and said, “That melody would make a good love song.”

I cringed.

“No, really,” they said, “Just strip out all the instruments and simplify the melody. It is for a love song.”

“No! I don’t know anything about love,” I said, pretty defiantly as I turned away.

My friend paused, looked at me with a mixture of concern and sadness and finally said, “You know what love is, of course you do.”

“Besides,” they said, “I’ve read some of that stuff you write in that black journal slash lyric book you have lying about.”

I felt a tinge of melancholy after that conversation. Over the next weeks, I dropped the song, and even though there were some great reviews about the new album, things were looking disheartening and uncertain.

Usually, at times like those I turn to my lyric book but it was nowhere in sight.

I asked my friend if they had seen it. They said no.

Four days later, the book was on my laptop with a note: “OH., you know what love is.”

The lyrics to a song called, “Love Will Heal” were on a sheet of white paper.

The words appeared strangely familiar.

I quickly flipped through my journal and it dawned on me that the song was composed of sentences from various entries all stitched and woven together.

Attached was my melody line from the previous song and an idea for pre-chorus and chorus for the piano.

It did not take me long to figure out what “angel” did this. They told me later they felt moved, dropped everything they were doing for days and nights as the song pieced together.

I hope you find this song as beautiful as I do. I am not sure yet if this will, be part of an EP next spring or this song just stands on its own for what it is, but I feel certain it had to come out now as it is and that this song could help others heal their souls as much as it did for me.

THE LYRICS

Now that I’ve settled down.
I’ve been running around my mind
To find you

And though I should be strong,
I’ve lost my courage for sure, something’s wrong
If it doesn’t make you
Feel good

Every time I wake up
I see it I breathe it
I spoke with minds and hold fast to saints
Answering love will heal
It’s not to do with faith, but knowin’
It’s not to do with faith, but knowin’

My love soars on wisdom’s wings
My heart stands in truth
Love leaves or walks with freedoms choice
To love, to life, to you…
To love, to life, to you…

And though I should be strong
I’ve lost my courage for sure, something’s wrong
If it doesn’t make you
Feel good

Every time I wake up
I see it I breathe it
I spoke with minds and hold fast to saints
Answering love will heal
It’s not to do with faith, but knowin’
It’s not to do with faith, but knowin’

My love soars on wisdom’s wings
My heart stands in truth
Love leaves or walks with freedom’s choice
To love, to life, to you…
To love, to life, to you…

And when I feel alone
I just feel the way I felt that day
Feel it all the time
And though it’s lost in time
It will live on forever since my heart remembers
My heart remembers

My love soars on wisdom’s wings
My heart stands in truth
Love leaves or walks with freedom’s choice
To love, to life, to you…
To love, to life, to you…

REVIEWS

“Love Will Heal is the epic new single from NYC artist, OH. Built from a singular studio session that led to self analysis and discovery, this track is a moving, soul touching work from a masterful artist. Deep, dark and compelling, This is another must have from a superlative talent.” ~ Prevrat – Floorshime Zipper Boots

“Reviewing an eclectic artist such as OH., is a particularly daunting task, simply because she moves within an enormous contrast of genres. How do you pinpoint an artist that plays screaming lead guitar on epic, progressive rock, instrumental tracks like “Run Away”, the one moment, and then sings gentle, sublime, piano-driven ballads like “Love Will Heal”, the next?

Or rather, how do you describe Joe Satriani and Tori Amos in the same breath? Well, if anything else, for one thing you can say that they’re both super-talented, creative souls! And that is exactly what OH. is!

What I love most about “Love Will Heal”, is even in its simple accessibility, the lyrics are still complex and thought provoking taking the listener through powerful emotions. This track will get you from the first couple listens and it will eventually seep into your brain and somewhere along the line, it will grab you and never let go.” ~ Buddy Nelson – Jamsphere
